Women of Excellence Awards & Scholarships
Criteria of Eligibility for All Applicants:
- Must be a young woman.
- Must be a resident of Louisiana.
- Must attend school in Fall 2019 or the scholarship will be forfeited.
- Cannot be a previous recipient of the Women of Excellence Award, Louisiana Legislative Women’s Caucus Foundation Scholarship or the EAO Scholarship.
- Cannot apply for the High School Woman of Excellence Award nor the College Woman of Excellence Award.
- The scholarship will be forfeited if the recipient does not attend school and pursue her degree in the Fall of 2019.
Additional Criteria for High School Applicants:
- Must be a graduating high school senior from a Louisiana High School or a home school program approved by the Louisiana Department of Education.
- Must graduate or complete an approved home school program by May 2019.
- The scholarship will be forfeited if the recipient does not attend school and pursue her degree in the Fall of 2019.
Additional Criteria for College Applicants:
- Must be currently enrolled in a licensed proprietary school, theological or seminary school, two-year technical or community college, four-year college/university or a graduate/professional school.
- Must have attended school in Fall 2018, be enrolled in school for Spring 2019 and attend school in Fall 2019.
- Must be a young woman between the ages of 18 and 25 and a resident of Louisiana.
- Must be currently enrolled in a two-year technical or community college, four-year college/university or a graduate/professional school.
- Must have attended school in Fall 2018 and will attend school in Spring 2019 and in Fall 2019 or the scholarship will be forefeited.
- Must have a grade point average of at least a 3.0 or better.
- Must show attributes of excellence in academics, leadership, community service/volunteerism, integrity and character.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.
- Cannot be a previous recipient of the Women of Excellence Award, Louisiana Legislative Women’s Caucus Foundation Scholarship or the EAO Scholarship.
- Cannot apply for the Educational Advancement Opportunity Scholarship.
- Must be a young woman and be a resident of Louisiana.
- Must be a graduating high school senior from a Louisiana High School or a home school program approved by the Louisiana Department of Education and graduate by May 2019.
- Must attend college in Fall 2019 or the scholarship will be forefeited.
- Must have a grade point average of at least a 3.0 or higher.
- Must show attributes of excellence in academics, leadership, community service/volunteerism, integrity and character.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.
- Cannot be a previous recipient of the Women of Excellence Award, Louisiana Legislative Women’s Caucus Foundation Scholarship or the EAO Scholarship.

NOTE: The foundation reserves the right to discontinue any and/or all scholarships, categories or awards should an inadequate number of candidates apply, inadequate number of suitable candidates nominated or lack of scholarship funding realized.
